The Perfect Bohemian Hen Party

One of the most challenging decisions can be finding out how your bride-to-be would like her hen party - the themes and ideas are endless so channeling them down to the perfect option can be a daunting experience. One of the most current and popular trends for hen parties is a bohemian theme, inspired by the ever so raved about festival Coachella in America. This idea is also a breath of fresh air for those of you whose idea of hen-do hell is strippers, willy straws and cheap bottles of fizz. Imagine being with all your besties, lounging in the sunshine, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and balloons whilst chatting, crafting and relaxing before the big day! Sounds a little like bliss? 

Well here are a few activity ideas if you feel your bride-to-be would love a bohemian inspired hen party...

Firstly, how could I not begin with flower crown making? These are fun to create and beautiful for photos throughout the afternoon.  This has been a popular choice recently with celebrities, bloggers and vloggers, even Lauren Conrad. Many companies supply the service bringing everything you could possibly require with them consequently reducing the stress for that Maid of Honour organising the event. However, if you want this look but don't want to make them on the day then try these gorgeous artificial flower crowns!

Secondly, cupcake decorating is creative, fun and provides a snack after the activity or even a part favour for the girls to leave with. This is something which is easy to organise but can create some mess so be prepared. Try and collect some interesting toppings such as pressed edible flowers, edible glitter and even some cupcake toppers.

Thirdly, for the girls who would like a little fizz and bubbles. A cocktail making masterclass! They're super pretty and a little educational. This is an opportunity where you may want to play games such as 'How Well Do You Know The Bride' whilst creating your concoctions. However, there is prosecco shimmer if you'd enjoy something DIY where you can add delicious bursting bubbles of berry juice. Fourthly, a photo booth set up... make the most of all the super photogenic things around you; the flower crowns, the cocktails, the cupcakes and all the flowers! Polaroid cameras take fabulous 'memorabilia' photos which the bride-to-be may choose to pop in some thank you cards to all her hens. I can recommend this Fujifilm camera which comes in many different colours also- very pretty! I have also seen braid bars/tents at parties where they can plait and curl the hen's hair - you can see this idea demonstrated below.

Finally, try some personalised hen party tattoos for all the girls to wear! A bit of a throwback to when you were little, these water transfer metallic tattoos are really cute and suit the beautiful bohemian vibes. These can be personalisable with the hen's names, a lovely surprise and a cute little touch to the day.
